Connect NetSuite

Connect with OAuth or token-based authentication, pick a subsidiary, and control what syncs.

The NetSuite integration pulls accounts, departments, classes, locations, contacts, and posting transaction lines, then rebuilds actuals.

Two ways to connect

OAuth 2.0. From Settings → Integrations, click Connect NetSuite, enter your NetSuite account ID (found under Setup → Company → Company Information), and click Continue to NetSuite to approve the connection.

Token-based authentication. If OAuth is not enabled on your NetSuite account, choose Use Token-Based Authentication instead. Your NetSuite administrator generates five values:

  1. Account ID from Setup → Company → Company Information.
  2. Consumer Key and Consumer Secret from a new integration record under Setup → Integration → Manage Integrations with Token-Based Authentication enabled. NetSuite shows the secret only once.
  3. Token ID and Token Secret from Setup → Users/Roles → Access Tokens, using that integration record and a user with a TBA-enabled role.

Paste all five into the form and click Connect via TBA. Secrets are stored encrypted.

OneWorld accounts with more than one subsidiary are asked to pick one; the subsidiary itself is not treated as a dimension.

What syncs

AccountsChart of accounts, typed from the NetSuite account type
DepartmentsDimensions of type Department, with hierarchy
ClassesDimensions of type Class, with hierarchy

The default window is the last 12 months. Lines with two or more dimensions create slices automatically.

Custom syncs

The NetSuite settings page has a Custom sync card. Untick phases you do not need, or set a specific GL date window to pull older history. Large windows take longer; the sync runs in the background.

Unlike QuickBooks Online, a NetSuite resync does not pause for approval: manual entries in actuals inside the synced window are replaced by ledger values.

If NetSuite returns an authentication error

Fix the cause in NetSuite first. Most often the role needs Setup → Log in using Access Tokens and Setup → REST Web Services, or the integration record's TBA checkbox is off. Then click Retry with saved credentials. Use Clear credentials & reconnect only if you rotated the token or deleted the integration record.
